In the framework of
GREENUS project implementation activities, stakeholder roundtable meetings related to the development and update of courses on waste management   were held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (GREENUS Stakeholders Rountables) on April 8th, 2021, from 15h00 to 18h00 P.M (Thursday) in the format of blended meetings.

For online attending, the event welcomed 18 participants including Dr. Gabriella Calderari- Project Coordinator, Project Steering Commitee Members, European associated partners and partners from HCMUT and CTU.
For offline meeting, there were approximately 44 people including university leaders, project members; and representatives and invited guests from other educational institutions and a number of companies, businesses and local authorities related to waste management & recycling. Some important stakeholders can be listed as representatives from URENCO Hanoi, GREENHUB, Anh Binh Minh Company, University of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Civil Engineering, University of Transportation & Communications ;Institute of ASEAN Research, Vocational College of Ta Quang Buu, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Construction…

After welcome remark from Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh – HUST Vice-President, Dr. Gabriella Calderari- Project Coordinator gave an introduction and the objectives of the GREENUS project. The Dean and Vice-Dean of School of Environmental Science and Technology, HUST – the School in charge of implementing the Project at HUST nd the representative of Hanoi Urban Environment Company (URENCO) presented researches, reports on current situation of educational and training on waste management at HUST, national management policy and technology as well as discussed on hot waste management issues.

After the main presentation session, the participants were divided into three parallel discussion groups for focused theme. Participant of each session disscused and brought out the current situation and exchange of the knowledge and experience in the fields of education, industry and public management, the need for high human resources in the field of waste management & recycling and existing issues in the field of waste management education, providing foundation for the elaborating and delivering 06 expected GREENUS courses.

At the end of the Meetings, participants spent their time completing closure surveys & theme surveys of their own discussion session by using either printed questionnaires or online google forms.
Also in the meeting, Assoc. Huynh Dang Chinh presented the First Prizes and gifts to the winner of the Logo Design Contest launched by GREENUS project at beneficiary universities in Vietnam and Myanmar. Ms. Ta Thi Yen, a current PhD student of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, won this contest.
